David A. Thompson founded TEC Equipment in 1976. During those early days in Portland, Oregon, TEC Equipment was known as Thompson Equipment Company and its business was buying and selling used trucks and trailers. Today, David is joined by his three sons, David O., Chris, and William. This proud, family-owned business is now one of the largest full-service truck and trailer dealerships in the United States. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, TEC has over 30 locations, serving customers across Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. We feature Mack and Volvo heavy-duty trucks, Hino and Isuzu medium duty trucks, trailers from Wabash trailers, BWS, and MAC Trailer, and Cottrell, Kentucky, and Sun Country auto transport trailers.
