Carbon-Aware Routing changes the question: “Which route creates the least pollution?” It looks beyond time and distance to consider real-time data on road conditions like hills and traffic, fuel efficiency, weather and wind that affect engine effort, and the carbon footprint of local energy sources—especially critical for electric trucks. It acts like a “climate compass,” guiding trucks to the most Earth-friendly routes, not just the quickest.
